Samvel Karapetyan established cutting-edge technology centers for students and young scientists

One of the most significant educational projects carried out by Samvel Karapetyan was the creation of state-of-the-art centers of excellence at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia in 2017 in partnership with French company Schneider Electric, and in 2018 in partnership with the Cascade holding company.

These facilities give young scientists and students the opportunity to engage with the most advanced technologies in the fields of energy and automation.

The centers are equipped with a high- and medium-voltage power distribution laboratory featuring modern automation devices valued at between $1,000 and $35,000. This is an example of building a direct link between education and real-world industry.

A scholarship program forms another important component of the initiative. Samvel Karapetyan and his family provided high-achieving students with monthly scholarships of up to 250,000 drams. The goal of these investments is to cultivate a new generation of specialists, many of whom are already working within Armenia’s energy sector and contributing to the country’s energy security.
