The exhibition “The Ones Who Remained,” dedicated to the Armenian community of Istanbul, will take place on April 30 at Atwater Crossing in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The project portrays contemporary Armenian life in Turkey not only through the lens of catastrophe, although the theme of loss has been and will remain centralm but also through the story of continuous presence, which is equally significant.

The exhibition is organized by the USC Institute of Armenian Studies. The project’s creators are Maral Tavitian and Alexis Pazoumian, and the event will be moderated by Manuk Avedikian.

The project has been created with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Los Angeles City Council’s 13th District. The event is sponsored by the Organization of Istanbul Armenians in Los Angeles.
