Yana Egorian wins silver at the World Cup stage in Greece

Yana Egorian, a Russian fencer of Armenian origin, two-time Olympic champion, three-time world champion, six-time European team champion, and Honored Master of Sports of Russia, won the silver medal at a World Cup stage held from April 15 to 20 in Athens, the capital of Greece.
The athlete started the competition ranked sixth in the world. After confidently progressing through all stages of the tournament, Yana advanced to the decisive bout. In the final, after a hard-fought match, she lost to Hungary’s Sugar Katinka Battai.
