Accelerated border demarcation in Syunik is possible: Alen Gevondyan
The visit of Azerbaijan’s deputy prime minister Shahin Mustafayev was notable for two reasons: the meetings were held with business circles, and Mustafayev visited his native village of Jujevan. Political analyst Alen Gevondyan made these observations in a live broadcast on Alpha News.
Asked whether accelerated border demarcation in Syunik was possible in connection with TRIPP, he said it was entirely realistic.
“An accelerated procedure is quite possible, as both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides are in a hurry. They understand perfectly well that TRIPP has been left in a non-viable state due to the processes surrounding Iran. And I would not rule out an attempt to carry out accelerated demarcation in Syunik to advance the previously signed TRIPP agreement by at least half a step,” the analyst said.
