Chanel unveils its new collection to the music of Charles Aznavour

The Chanel fashion house presented its 2026/27 cruise collection in Biarritz, with the music of legendary French chansonnier of Armenian descent Charles Aznavour serving as one of the key elements of the show’s atmosphere.

The runway presentation featured, among other tracks, the maestro’s song Emmenez-moi.

Chanel’s new creative director, Matthieu Blazy, placed an emphasis in this collection on freedom of movement and a reinterpretation of the brand’s classic heritage.

Emmenez-moi is a song about the longing for travel and the search for something new, that was written by Charles Aznavour with lyrics by Georges Garvarentz in the romantic 1960s. The composition continues to inspire today: in 2024, it was performed at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, and in 2025, a video by French director and cinematographer Louka (@louka_lb) featuring the maestro’s song became a hit on social media.
