Trump posts image of Venezuela in US flag colors

Donald Trump, President of the United States, hinted that Venezuela could potentially join the United States as the 51st state, posting an image of the Caribbean republic colored in the US flag’s colors.

Trump posted on Truth Social a map of the northern part of South America, with Venezuela highlighted in the colors of the American flag and the label “51st state” written across it.

The American president had previously hinted at a desire to annex Venezuela. Earlier, a Fox News journalist, after speaking with Trump, said that the president was seriously considering the possibility of Venezuela joining the United States.
