Samvel Karapetyan, the candidate for prime minister of the Strong Armenia bloc, said that the Armenian authorities are calmly and shamelessly shrinking the country’s territory and humiliating it in every way possible. If this continues, he warned, Armenia will in a few years be left without Armenians or with very few of them.

According to him, no policy aimed at developing the regions is being pursued, and emigration has reached staggering levels. “And despite false claims that we are seeing population growth, the reality is in fact the opposite,” he stressed.

Karapetyan said that border villages are in danger and are being emptied just like Artsakh.
“The divorce rate has risen because young people have no work, the birth rate is falling, and the country is gradually losing Armenians to emigration. All of this is contributing to the shrinking of the country,” the prime ministerial candidate said.
