Arman Tatoyan, leader of the Wings of Unity party, has filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor’s office, alleging that citizens are being coerced into voting for the ruling party.
He reminded journalists that the matter concerns an audio recording in which a college instructor and member of the Armavir Council of Elders from “Civil Contract” was pressuring students into participating in a campaign event organized by the authorities. According to Tatoyan, people are being pressured in various ways: some are threatened with failing their exams, others with losing their jobs. Moreover, when such cases come to light, it is the low-level enforcers who are declared guilty.
“We are saying: the enforcers are victims of the authorities’ actions. Those who devised this scheme must be held accountable,” he stressed.
