Armenia will take note if CSTO member states decide to expel the country from the organization, said Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia’s prime minister.

Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, said on June 10 that the CSTO, due to Armenia’s non-payment of membership dues, will consider invoking the article of the organization’s charter governing actions with respect to member states that fail to fulfil their obligations.

“I am aware that there is a mechanism for expelling countries from the CSTO, and if member states decide to expel Armenia, we will be compelled to take note of it,” Pashinyan said.
