The “Zangezur corridor” will become one of the main segments of the Middle Corridor: Aliyev

Baku is pursuing a decisive policy aimed at establishing and maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region. This is stated in an address by Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, to participants of the international conference “Regional Contribution to Global Security: Peacebuilding in the South Caucasus,” being held in occupied Shusha.

Aliyev stressed that the signing last year in Washington of the Joint Declaration between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the presence of US President Donald Trump, and the initialing of the peace agreement, have completely transformed the situation in the South Caucasus.

According to him, the so-called “Zangezur corridor,” being implemented in this context, will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan, and will also become one of the main segments of the Middle Corridor.
