Ruben Hakobyan detained: the Investigative Committee releases details

Ruben Hakobyan, a former member of the RA National Assembly, has been detained and placed under administrative supervision. This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.
“In the course of criminal proceedings being investigated by the Main Department for the Investigation of Crimes against the State, the Foundations of the Constitutional Order, and Public Security of the RA Investigative Committee, clear factual evidence was obtained that former RA National Assembly member R.A., using information and communication technologies, made statements aimed at inciting and spreading hatred, discrimination, intolerance, and enmity, as confirmed by the conclusions of an expert assessment obtained in the case,” the IC’s statement reads.
It is noted that a criminal case has been opened under Article 329. Former National Assembly member R.A. has been arrested, and a motion has been submitted to the court to impose administrative supervision as a preventive measure.
The preliminary investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
