Gasoline prices rise in Armenia amid reduced supplies: AI-92 now costs 600 drams

Gasoline prices in Armenia have risen noticeably after a reduction in fuel supplies from Russia. This was reported by Aghasi Tavadyan, an economist. According to him, a liter of AI-92 at filling stations now costs about 600 drams, which is 120 drams more than the previous level. The price of AI-95 has climbed from 500 to 620 drams, and diesel has reached 630 drams.

The expert noted that the structure of fuel imports has changed significantly in recent years. While about 90% of gasoline came from Russia in 2023, that share fell to 20% in the first half of 2026, with Bulgaria taking the lead. A similar trend is seen in the diesel market: Russia’s share has dropped from 60% to about 30% and continues to decline.
