The arrest of Avetik Chalabyan is an act of revenge: Anahit Adamyan

Avetik has currently been remanded in custody for two months with no visitation rights. This was stated outside the Constitutional Court building in comments to journalists by Anahit Adamyan, coordinator of the HayaQve movement and wife of public and political figure Avetik Chalabyan.

“This is being done deliberately, with the aim of punishing and taking revenge on Avetik for his active stance, his participation in exposing election fraud, and his defense of voters’ rights,” Anahit Adamyan noted.

According to her, there are currently more innocent people in places of detention than guilty ones.

“Our political prisoners end up in jail. A year later they are released, because there is no criminal case and no legal grounds on which Avetik could be convicted today,” wife of Avetik Chalabyan stressed.
