Russia is ready to facilitate the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. A corresponding statement was published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry ahead of an official visit to Russia by Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister.

This includes issues related to the peace treaty, border delimitation, and the unblocking of communications.

“Peace and stability in the South Caucasus are important to us. As before, we are ready to provide the necessary assistance for the full normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including on the conclusion of a peace treaty, border delimitation, and the unblocking of communications,” the ministry said.

It was also noted that the “3+3” Regional Cooperation Platform, which brings together Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, has significant potential. This mechanism is intended to help resolve any regional issues and challenges through the efforts of the region’s own countries and their neighbors, without destructive interference from outside.

Jeyhun Bayramov has traveled to Moscow on an official visit. He is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister.
