Svetlana Maslyakova, director of the KVN program (a popular Russian comedy competition show), has died at the age of 79. She was the wife of Alexander Maslyakov, television host, who passed away in 2024 at the age of 82.

A statement from the International KVN Club noted: “A woman director has passed away, whose name became a symbol of KVN. She broke stereotypes, paved the way for many generations, was a loyal companion to Alexander Vasilyevich, and always set an example for aspiring KVN participants.”
