“Zangezur corridor” will ease cargo transport to Europe: Azerbaijani official

Once the so-called “Zangezur corridor” is put into operation, cargo transport from Azerbaijan to Europe will become more efficient due to shortened routes, reduced logistics costs, and fewer border crossings. This was stated by Kenan Gurbanov, Secretary General of the International Road Transport Association of Azerbaijan.

According to him, one of the key directions “after the corridor is put into operation” will be maximum digitalization and simplification of border procedures. The introduction of modern technological solutions already successfully applied on other international transport routes is also planned.
