Criminal case opened against five people over beating of Hayk Konjoryan’s brother

Five people have been detained in connection with the case of the beating of the brother of Hayk Konjoryan, head of the ruling “Civil Contract” parliamentary faction, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reported.

As part of the criminal proceedings, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against 5 people under Paragraph 5, Part 2, Article 195 of the RA Criminal Code (physical violence committed by a group of persons).

Two of them are subject to a travel ban and bail. No restraint measure has been selected for the remaining defendants.
