Drivers stripped of licenses complain authorities aren’t listening or offering solutions

Citizens facing problems with restoring their driver’s licenses are holding a protest in front of the RA government building. They are complaining about unequal conditions for license restoration and discriminatory treatment by state bodies.

One of the protest participants told journalists that in 10 years of driving experience, he had never committed any serious violations, but is now unable to drive.

“I earned my own money to afford comfort and have a car. I had a driver’s license in Armenia for 10 years, and my biggest violation in those 10 years was not wearing a seatbelt. We didn’t do anything serious, and yet they just took our licenses away like that,” the driver said.
