You will be tried by the very court you created: Narek Karapetyan

You will be tried by the very court you yourselves created. This was stated in parliament by Narek Karapetyan, leader of the “Strong Armenia” faction, addressing MPs from the Civil Contract party. According to him, the recent criminal cases carry a political subtext.

“A man is being tried for saying that after Strong Armenia’s victory, Ruben Vardanyan will return. And in Alaverdi, a man is being tried for telling two people over an open line: register for work,” Karapetyan stressed.

According to the MP, the authorities can present any case in whatever light suits them, but this will not change public sentiment.

“You can twist everything and present it however is convenient for you, but you still won’t be able to convince the people that you obtained such a majority in parliament legitimately. You shouldn’t have had this many seats: it should have been the Prosperous Armenia party sitting here instead of you,” Karapetyan added.
