You are helping fulfill Azerbaijan’s demands: Anna Grigoryan

The initiative to adopt a new Constitution of the Republic of Armenia is solely the result of a demand from Azerbaijan. This was stated in the National Assembly by Anna Grigoryan, Leader of the Armenia faction. According to her, no one, either in Armenia or beyond its borders, could claim that the discussions on amending the Constitution are a domestic agenda item for the country.

“Azerbaijan has set preconditions: first, the abolition of the co-chairmanship mechanism of the Minsk Group; second, an amendment to the Constitution of Armenia so that its preamble no longer references the Declaration of Independence. And right now, all of you are helping fulfill this demand,” said Anna Grigoryan, addressing MPs from the Civil Contract faction.
