The “Yerevan Bus” company purchased diesel fuel on May 6, 2026, through a single-source procurement procedure at a price of 545 drams per liter. This was reported in the National Assembly by Mesrop Manukyan, deputy from the “Armenia” bloc.
“During the same period, the retail price at filling stations was, at most, 510 drams. Obviously, the wholesale price should have been lower. When I sent an inquiry to the municipality, I was told that this price was offered by the business entity. How is it that the retail price on the market is 510 drams, while you are purchasing wholesale at 545 drams?” Manukyan said.
The deputy also recalled previous cases of transport procurement, when, following public reaction to an initial purchase of 135 million drams, the next purchase amounted to 96 million drams, saving about 40 million.
