There are repressions in Armenia against those who advocate relations with Russia: Zakharova

Repressions are underway in Armenia against political forces advocating for strengthening relations with Russia, which contradicts the requests of the Armenian society, Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, said in response to a question from RIA Novosti.

“(In Armenia – ed.) The escalation of real repression continues against political forces and figures who advocate the preservation and strengthening of allied relations with Russia. And, of course, this clearly contradicts the demand of Armenian society for the steady development of bilateral ties,” she said.
