Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, “revealed” at a government session why 15-year-old Armenian students show extremely low levels of knowledge, lagging 4-5 years behind the global average.
According to him, the main reason lies in the years-long shortage of schools in Armenia.
Pashinyan noted that a project to build 300 schools is currently underway in the country, but around 650 more facilities will need to be built in the future. The head of the cabinet stressed that the dire state of education is entirely predictable for a country lacking nearly a thousand schools.
