“Who are you to tell Artsakh Armenians that Artsakh is not their homeland?”: Kristine Vardanyan

Is it really necessary to mark the anniversary of the attack on Armenia every year with a festival or something similar? In other words, is this a mandatory requirement, with no other options? This question was posed by Kristine Vardanyan, member of the National Assembly from the Armenia faction, at a session of the National Assembly, as she sharply criticized the authorities’ policy.

“Today, around 150,000 Artsakh Armenians live in Armenia, for whom Artsakh remains their homeland.

Who are you, by what right, with what authority do you tell Artsakh Armenians that Artsakh is not their homeland,” the lawmaker said, stressing that it is unclear by what logic they are trying to limit or deny people’s fundamental feelings.
