Parliamentary elections have started in Russia

Elections for deputies of the ninth State Duma, elections to the legislative assemblies of 39 regions, and elections for the top officials of Russia’s constituent entities are being held in Russia from September 18 to 20. A total of 20,700 deputy mandates and leadership positions will be allocated based on the results of the vote.
Observers include representatives of 12 international organizations from the CIS, the CSTO, and BRICS.
Ten parties have been included in the pre-election lists for the federal electoral district: “Edinaya Rossiya” (United Russia), the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), “Noviye Lyudi” (New People), “Spavedlivaya Rossiya” (A Just Russia), the Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice, Communists of Russia, Rodina, the Russian Ecological Party “The Greens,” and the Party of Direct Democracy.
