“Independence means that no one else should decide what Armenia will be”: Strong Armenia

The Strong Armenia party congratulated the Armenian people on the 35th anniversary of Independence.

“Dear compatriots!

Congratulations on September 21, the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia!

On September 21, 1991, our people made their historic choice in the name of a free and sovereign Armenia. This choice is a commitment to future generations to preserve the Armenia for whose independence we voted, to make it stronger, and to preserve Armenian lands, the Constitution, and Armenian identity.

Armenia’s independence cannot be merely a proclaimed value. It must be protected by a strong army, strong state institutions, the rule of law, worthy citizens, and a government that understands that the state’s foremost duty is to protect its people and national interests.

Independence means that no one else should decide for us what Armenia will be.

Our future is in our own hands. And today, more than ever, we must fight for a strong, sovereign, secure, and worthy Armenia.
