The Armenian state must live and continue to exist in its true essence and mission: ARFD

The Supreme Body of the ARFD of Armenia has issued a statement on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.

“Dear compatriots,

On September 21, 1991, the Armenian people reaffirmed their will to live freely and independently, relying on the birth certificate of our modern statehood — the Declaration of Independence.

The deprivations and sacrifices borne by our people over the centuries have led us to a clear truth: independent statehood is not an end in itself for us. It is the sole and irreplaceable means of preserving our national identity and ensuring the continuity of the Armenian people’s existence.

The blood shed by our martyrs, and the deprivations endured by generations, were in their essence, spirit, and content, for the sake of having an ARMENIAN state. A state that does not renounce its history, its roots, and its nationwide aspirations, but becomes the defender and champion of the security, dignity, and creative potential of all Armenians.

Today, as we face fateful threats of the erosion of our identity and the weakening of our statehood, the ARFD reaffirms its unchanging position:

🔹To defend our identity and values;
🔹To fight for a truly sovereign, security-focused Armenia founded on national values;
🔹To restore nationwide unity and cohesion — in defense of our statehood and collective rights.

Our struggle continues. The Armenian state must live and continue to exist in its true essence and mission.

Long live the independent Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people throughout the world! We bow our heads before the undying memory of all our martyrs,” the message reads.
