EU to continue supporting promotion of Armenian government’s programs: Pashinyan meets von der Leyen

Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, met with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, in New York.

They discussed issues related to the Armenia-EU cooperation agenda.

Pashinyan stressed the importance of EU support for Armenia’s economic diversification process, as well as the decisions being made to that end. He noted the EU’s support “in the effective implementation of democratic reforms in the country.”

Von der Leyen, in turn, noted that the EU would continue to support the promotion of the Armenian government’s programs and the development of cooperation in various fields.

The two leaders also touched on issues of regional significance.
