Armenia needs to make a choice: Peskov

Russia respects Armenia’s sovereign rights, but Yerevan needs to make a choice between the EU and the EAEU, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian President, told reporters.

“Indeed, we respect all of Armenia’s sovereign rights,” he said.

The Russian presidential press secretary noted that Armenia is a participant in the EAEU integration process, and a gradual reorientation toward other standards would not correlate with EAEU standards in various fields.

“This is what we mean when we say that it is very important to make a choice, and it is very important that one of the EAEU member states does not come into conflict with the rules, regulations, and principles of this integration association, which is important to all of us,” he stressed.
