Son of former Hrazdan deputy police chief hospitalized after café brawl

The son of a former deputy chief of police in Hrazdan was hospitalized with stab wounds on October 5 after a quarrel in a café in Armenia’s Kotayk Province, the crime news website Shamshyan. com reports.

According to doctors, the victim is in the operating room and is unable to give any explanation of what happened.

Police established that the victim is Artak Aghasaryan, a 50-year-old resident of Kotayk Province. They also determined that he was wounded during a quarrel in the Duet café in Hrazdan.

Law enforcement found that a quarrel broke out in the café over a personal matter between A. Aghasaryan and his brother, Arshak Aghasaryan, a 39-year-old resident of Kotayk Province, on one side, and Vardan Ghazaryan, a 60-year-old resident of Kotayk Province, and 30-year-old Gor Ghazaryan on the other. During the quarrel, according to operational data, G. Ghazaryan stabbed A. Aghasaryan.

Ghazaryan turned himself in at the Hrazdan police department. Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident.

According to the website, A. Aghasaryan’s father previously worked as deputy chief of the Hrazdan police department of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and G. Ghazaryan, who stabbed him, is the son of a former director of School No. 11 in Hrazdan.
