One of the shop owners on Shinaraneri Street, during a protest in front of the Yerevan City Hall building, told journalists that no one had negotiated with them regarding the demolition of the shops, and that the rights of the workers and owners of the kiosks were not taken into account by the city authorities, despite the existence of property ownership certificates for the buildings they own.
According to him, district administration staff visited the site on Sunday and warned that the demolition of the buildings was planned for Tuesday.
“The reason for our protest is that we are being treated as if we don’t exist, our rights are not being considered. We have property ownership certificates issued by the cadastre, but in the comments, people are writing that they are fake,” he said.
