Iran could strike US bases in Europe in case of new aggression: MP

Tehran could strike US bases outside the Middle East if the United States resumes its aggression, according to Manouchehr Mottaki, a member of Iran’s parliament.

“Outside the region means ‘at places being used against us.’ At the moment, that geographic area is Europe, and there is evidence of this… So, given that there are no geographic limits, yes, it means our missiles will reach Europe,” ISNA quoted him as saying.

Earlier on Monday, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic, said that Mojtaba Khamenei, its Supreme Leader, had ordered that the conflict be resolved through dialogue. Iran’s military, however, had previously said it was ready to respond by military means, including by threatening to expand the geographic scope of hostilities.
