The Constitutional Court of Armenia received 358 applications in 2025, and the figure for 2026 is already higher, but the number of applications does not yet reflect the court’s effectiveness, Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and an MP from the Strong Armenia faction, said during the parliamentary debate on the draft 2027 state budget.

“Unfortunately, if we look specifically at how many decisions the Constitutional Court has made, the picture is completely different,” Vardevanyan said, adding that the model of constitutional justice used to be different and the court used to be proactive with every application.
