Russian MFA: Armenia’s absence at CSTO Assembly will not affect plans to create unified air defense

The absence of the Armenian delegation at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) will not affect the decision to create a unified air defense system, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told journalists, TASS reports.

“The physical absence [of the Armenian delegation] does not significantly slow down the process of approval by other member countries of the collective adoption of these documents, to which, in many cases, they join,” he said, when asked if the absence of the Armenian side in the CSTO assembly will affect plans to create a unified air defense system.
