(EXCLUSIVE) Robert Kennedy Jr.: An invasion by Azerbaijan was in the interests of the oil industry
An invasion by Azerbaijan was in the interests of the oil industry and other geopolitical powerhouses in the region, including Turkiye, Robert Kennedy Jr. told Alpha News when asked if he agreed with the opinion that the most powerful countries of the world are complicit in the genocide that happened in Artsakh since they could have done a lot to prevent genocide and ethnic cleansing but they did not do anything.
“I can answer why that happened. I can say that…I don’t think it was just an invasion by Azerbaijan. I think it was in the interests of the oil industry, in the interests of other geopolitical powerhouses in the region, including Turkiye, that we have a quite complicated relationship with. So I cannot tell you exactly why that happened, but I can tell you, you know, it isn’t simple, and I know you’ve done research on the past history and looked at classified documents from the US, Russia and other nations. Those classified documents show clearly that there is manipulation, maneuvering, and complicity by very powerful nations and national governments, and there is an oil interest in what happens in the region,” he said.
When asked about what his foreign policy would be, he noted that one of his essential plans as president is to unravel the war machine.
“We have 800 bases abroad right now; Russia has one in Syria. China has one and a half, and each of those bases is picking a fight with somebody. The function of the intelligence agencies that my uncle came to understand very quickly within four months of taking office is to provide the military industrial complex with a constant pipeline of new wars. And these are the same companies; for example, BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard which own McDonald’s, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing, and Lockheed.
Why do we need to extend NATO? Because when we expand NATO, that one nation has to conform its weapons purchases to NATO specifications, which immediately means billions of dollars for those five companies. Those companies are the biggest owners of both the Democratic and Republican parties. So I think the game is rigged. Americans were seduced constantly by those comic book depictions—you know, that this man is a supervillain and we have to go to war against him. They control propaganda in our country; they control the press. As president, I am going to end that and I am going to bring that money home,” Robert Kennedy Jr. concluded.
