Russia’s intelligence chief says ‘too early to discuss possible deployment of US military bases in Armenia’

It is too early to discuss the possibility of US military bases appearing in Armenia, Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, told TASS.

“It is too early to talk about it,” he said when asked whether US military bases may be deployed in Armenia due to changes in its policy.

Earlier, the final joint statement of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue Capstone meeting said that the sides will strengthen interaction in the security sphere and aim to upgrade the status of cooperation to the strategic partnership.
