Armenian soldier dies in Syunik military unit

An Armenian soldier died in a military unit in Syunik the previous day, the Investigative Committee reports.

On June 24, around 10:00 a.m., the death of David Nersisyan, a serviceman of one of the military units, was reported from the Sisian department of the Military Police of the Armenian Defense Ministry.

Nersisyan reportedly lost consciousness at around 9:40 a.m. The soldier was taken to the military hospital, where his death was recorded around 10:00 a.m.

A criminal case has been launched. External examination showed no traces of violence on the soldier’s body. A series of examinations have been appointed to clarify the cause of death. A group of people have been interrogated.

The preliminary investigation continues.
