A person’s appearance or physical activity does not mean they are not at health risk: lawyer

Aram Orbelyan, lawyer for Robert Kocharyan, second President of Armenia, addressed statements by members of the ruling “Civil Contract” party regarding the President’s health during a press conference, calling them yet another sign of demagoguery, lies and ignorance on their part.

“Robert Kocharyan can do pull-ups on a bar, he can do far more pull-ups than I can, unfortunately. He can be in very good physical shape, which doesn’t mean his health can’t be endangered by imprisonment a week after stenting,” the lawyer said.

According to him, a person’s appearance or physical activity does not mean they are not at health risk.

“The problem with Robert Kocharyan’s health was and remains the following: he underwent heart surgery. It can’t be called just another routine operation, but at the same time it’s not something extraordinary either. The month following such an operation is considered a high-risk period,” he said.
