An additional crew of pilots happened to be on board the Flydubai plane as part of training exercises, RT reports.

They were flying as civilians, Israeli media specify. It was they who took control of the aircraft and leveled it out after the fight between the main pilots.

Israel is now classifying the incident as an attempted terrorist attack, local Channel 14 adds. It notes that one of the pilots tried to carry out a 9/11-style attack.
