AFS “Fight Armat Show”: a major MMA tournament in Armenia

On April 19, a large-scale mixed martial arts tournament, AFS “Fight Armat Show,” took place in Armenia. The Armenia MMA Grand Prix and the AFS “Fight Armat Show” tournament marked one of the significant events in the world of mixed martial arts.

David Khachatryan, MMA fighter, noted in his assessment of the participants’ preparation that the tournament stood out because athletes from the amateur bracket faced professionals in the finals.

“The guys are in very good athletic shape, but there is room to grow. The gym opened recently, yet serious changes in the Armenian team are already evident,” he said.

The final stage of the tournament was held on April 19 at Tashir Arena and was broadcast live on the organization’s YouTube channel.
