Alik Aleksanyan has been under arrest for 2 months already, but no investigative actions have taken place yet: lawyer

Alik Aleksanyan, one of the closest associates of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, has been under arrest for about two months already, yet no investigative actions have been carried out to date. This is what Lianna Gasparyan, lawyer, told Sputnik Armenia.

The two-month arrest term expires on August 3, and it is not yet known whether the investigative body will petition to extend it, she noted.

Aleksanyan was charged with money laundering in June. The defense considers the criminal case fabricated.
