After more than five hours of deliberation, Judge Vahe Dolmazyan decided to extend Karapetyan’s house arrest for another three months with certain restrictions.

In a conversation with journalists, Samvel Karapetyan, the politician, emphasized that the purpose of such measures is to prevent his personal participation in the elections.

It should be noted that Karapetyan was denied permission to visit his father’s grave in the village of Lernaovit in the Lori region. The court also defined a circle of individuals with whom he is prohibited from communicating. At the same time, the restriction on public appearances was lifted: Karapetyan can now give interviews and make statements.
