Anti-Corruption Committee reports detection of pre-election bribery case

As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, information was obtained that the territorial representative of the Strong Armenia party in the Bagramyan community of Armavir region had promised and actually given pre-election bribes to a number of voters in that community in exchange for voting for the party. The Committee published a new wiretap recording.

“In addition, the same individual financially incentivized a number of residents of the Bagramyan community of Armavir region and secured their participation in rallies of the aforementioned party.

A criminal case has been opened by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia in connection with this incident, several people have been detained, and searches and other procedural actions have been carried out,” the statement reads.
