Anti-corruption investigation: officials and Mayor of Meghri detained

Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has reported the detention of eight people in a bribery case. Among them are the Mayor of Meghri and the head of the Syunik branch of the Ecopark Service. The committee noted that, in the interests of the investigation, no additional information is being disclosed.

Media had earlier reported the detention of Khachatur Andreasyan, Mayor of Meghri, whose criminal case is likewise linked to corruption.
