Ara Gevorgyan’s music video “Rebirth” premieres

The official music video “Rebirth” by Ara Gevorgyan, well-known Armenian composer and producer, has been released.

Filming of the video, featuring 1,000 young musicians playing the Armenian national instrument dhol and 400 dancers, took place in May 2026 under the direction of Vahe Yan, director, against the backdrop of Mount Ararat, on a stretch of road between the towns of Ashtarak and Yeghvard.

The composition features music by Gevorgyan himself, Komitas’s piece “Ter Voghormya” (“Lord, Have Mercy”), and “Kochari.”

Ara Gevorgyan’s name has already been entered into world records three times: for the “Yerevan” video, which featured 200 kanun performers; for organizing a performance by 112 duduk players on a single stage during a concert marking the 90th anniversary of Djivan Gasparyan; and for creating a new musical instrument — the bass kanun.
