Ara Mkrtchyan, former head of Kasakh community, arrested for one month

Ara Mkrtchyan, former head of the Kasakh community, has been charged with illegally transferring ownership of 28 plots of land with a total value of approximately 228 million drams (around $620,000).
According to investigators, between 1996 and 2021, while heading the community, he organized sham auctions through which the land was removed from Kasakh’s ownership.
It should be noted that the former head of the Kasakh community is the father of Anna Mkrtchyan, former member of the National Assembly.
