Armenia has joined the US “Trade over Aid” initiative. This was announced by Robert Abisoghomonyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, at the initiative’s forum in New York.
He stressed that Yerevan is ready to actively participate in the project’s work and sees it as an innovative approach to international cooperation.
“Trade over Aid” was launched on April 27, 2026. Its idea is to shift the focus from traditional aid toward creating favorable conditions for business and stimulating economic growth based on free-market principles.
The project involves UN member states, as well as the private sector and UN agencies.
