Armenia wants to become SCO member

Armenia has expressed its desire to become a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the press office of the Foreign Ministry reports.
“Sharing the founding principles of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, namely territorial integrity, non-use of force and inviolability of borders, the Republic of Armenia has expressed desire to become a member of SCO,” the statement reads.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded on June 15, 2001, by the leaders of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
