The notion that Nikol Pashinyan is neither pro-Russian nor pro-Western, but specifically pro-Turkish, is confirmed with each passing day and hour. This was stated by Tigran Kocharyan, editor-in-chief of Alpha News, in a live broadcast on Alpha News.

“In fact, countries that are in ‘hostile’ relations with one another: Russia, the United States, and European states are more concerned with preventing genocides from recurring. If before we were fighting against Turkish and Azerbaijani genocide deniers and certain historians in the US working on Turkish money, the problem has now emerged inside Armenia itself. This shows that Pashinyan is the kind of figure who will neatly wrap Armenia up and present it as a gift to either Erdogan or Aliyev,” Kocharyan noted.

According to him, Pashinyan has no legitimacy to reach a final resolution on the question of the Church.

“There is currently a relative pause in the standoff with the Armenian Apostolic Church in Armenia, because Pashinyan has realized he lacks the legitimacy to settle this matter once and for all. He failed to split the Church from within. The clergy who came under pressure were unable to create a domino effect that would cause the Church to collapse from the inside. So this issue has been temporarily put on hold,” Kocharyan concluded.
