Armenian-American producer Armen Zabounian, known professionally as Peyote Beats, has won a Grammy Award for his work on Doechii’s album Alligator Bites Never Heal, which took home Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Zartonk Media reports.

Based in Los Angeles, Zabounian has collaborated with a star-studded lineup of artists across pop, R&B, and rap, including Tyga, Doechii, French Montana, Jhene Aiko, Pop Smoke, Trippie Redd, Roy Woods, Kalan.frfr, Mozzy, 6ix9ine, and more.

“Winning a Grammy is a dream come true, but representing my Armenian roots on this stage makes it even more special. Growing up, I never saw many Armenians in this space, so to be here now, contributing to music at the highest level, is something I take a lot of pride in. This is for the culture, for the community, and for everyone chasing their passion. I feel we as Armenians have so much to offer to the rest of the world as far as art so I hope this win can inspire fellow Armenians to make their mark in pop culture as well,” Zabounian told Zartonk Media.
